TIER BASED SYSTEM TO ALLOW RELAXATION IS ALSO INTRODUCED.
THIS DECISION WAS MADE AFTER DISCUSSION WITH MEDICAL EXPERTS. IT IS ALSO EXPECTED THAT INDIA WILL SOON HAVE 3RD WAVE WITHIN QUICK SPAN OF TIME.

TIER BASED SYSTEM 

TIER 1 
DISTRICT : Coimbatore, Thanjavur Mayiladuthurai, Nilgiris, Thiruppur, Erode, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, 

NO ADDITIONAL RELAXATION HAVE BEEN PROVIDED IN THESE DISTRICT DUE TO PREVALENCE OF ACTIVE CASES. HENCE THESE DISTRICT CONTINUE TO BE IN LOCKDOWN 

TIER 2 
DISTRICT : Ariyalur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, , Thirupathur, Thiruvannamalai, Thuthukudi Cuddalore, Ranipet, Sivagangai, Theni, Tenkasi, Thirunelveli, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Kallakurichi, Kanyakumari, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Perambalur, Trichy, Villupuram, Vellore and Virudhunagar 

THESE DISTRICTS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH ADDITIONAL RELAXATION SINCE THE CASES HAVE BEEN MOVING LOW 

WHAT IS ALLOWED?

Parcel services 6 am to 9 pm.
E-commerce 6am to 9pm.
Sweet stall 6am to 9pm.
Standalone grocery stores and vegetables markets 6am to 7pm
Essential government service offices 100 per cent staff
Other Government offices 50 per cent staff.
33 per cent workforce allowed in private concerns.
Shops selling electrical items,mechanical shops, footwear stores, home appliances stores and smartphone shops 9 am to 5 pm.
Electricians, plumbers 6 am to 5 pm..
Education Institutions only for enrollment of students.
Sports-related training 6 am to 5 pm 
Passengers can travel in taxis and auto with e-registration.


TIER 3 
DISTRICT : Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpet
THESE DISTRICTS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH ADDITIONAL RELAXATION ALONG WITH THE TIER 2 

WHAT IS ALLOWED?
Government offices100 per cent staff
Private concerns can call in 50 per cent
Public transport 50 per cent occupancy.
In Chennai, metro services will operate with a 50 percent occupancy
E-registration is not required for travelling in taxi.
Shooting is allowed with a maximum of 100 personnel. RTPCR test is mandatory.
Marriages can take place in Tier-1 and Tier-2 districts with only 50 people and only after getting e-registration.
